Storybook Reflection

I chose to use Storyjumper because the website seemed user friendly and
colorful. The website was
extremely easy to navigate and offered videos explaining how to use it. The video explained how to use a few
different functions and showed the simplicity of the site.
Everything was very straightforward. I originally didn’t think I could use
the website because it doesn’t offer sound, but once that requirement was
removed from our rubric, this one was my favorite.
This website also has the option to turn your digital storybook into an
actual book. Through this site
you can buy a hard copy of your story for less than $25 dollars.
The option to order your book made this website stand out against the
rest.
I began making my storybook by first watching the tutorial on the
website. I learned the basics of
the site and then dove into making my own story. I completed a basic storyboard to make
the creation of my actual story easier.
I then began using the site by going through page by page inserting a
background, props, and words on every page. There were a variety of options for
scenes and props with sorted galleries to search through.
Inserting was simple with just clicking on the image you want to
use. Props could be edited slightly
by changing size, location, and the way they are facing. Text
could also be simply edited such as the font, size, and
location.
I would use Storyjumper again to make a storybook.
It was the perfect tool for a simple online story that I could even turn
into an actual book. The website
may not have enough options for someone looking to make an in-depth story about
a specific subject, but for a basic project it is more than enough.
I would recommend this site to anyone wanting to make an online
story
